This page will feature projects that I am involved in outside of Gregory Audio.  Projects coming up in 2010 include an experimental electroacoustic album.

I have now started work on my ‘Offshoots Symphony’ project.  This project will involve making field recordings over the course of the year (March 2010 to March 2011) which will then be used to create sound art/acousmatic compositions for an album illustrating the work and wonder of the site, conceptually incorporating Permaculture design and ideas in the creative process.   Sound/recordings will include birds, frogs, bees, bodging, water, wind, bats and more.  The ongoing monthly blog for this project is here:

A 12 minute 4x surround sound piece created using sound recordings I made at the Offshoots site in February 2008 is available for free download here

Other projects coming up include recording clog dancers in Bacup, Lancashire which will be used to create a percussive track which i will give away free on archive.org.  I will update this page with a link at the time.

My experimental  album  (provisionally titled ‘Metamorphosis’) is nearing completion and should be out in June.  You can hear tracks from it here:

On Sunday the 6th of June i will be taking part in the annual Hebden Bridge Boundary walk , walking 21 miles  through some of the most spectacular scenery in the South Pennines to raise money for the ‘Wildthings’ kids club at St Josephs RC Primary School in Todmorden to go on a school trip.  More details about the walk here:
